Eligibility Criteria for OSSSC PEO

Age Limit

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 43 years (as on 01.01.2026)
• Relaxations:
  • SC/ST/SEBC/Women: 5 years
  • PwD: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per rules

Educational Qualification

• Must have passed +2 (Higher Secondary) Examination in any discipline or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Computer basics is desirable (tested separately in skill test).

Odia Language Requirement

Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Odia and have:

• Passed Middle English School Standard exam with Odia as a language subject, OR
• Passed Matriculation with Odia as medium, OR
• Passed Class VIII or above with Odia, OR
• Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard.

OSSSC PEO Exam Pattern 2026

The exam consisted of two stages:

1. Written Test (Qualifying + Merit)
   • Mode: OMR-based MCQ
   • Total Questions: 180
   • Total Marks: 180
   • Duration: 3 hours
   • Negative Marking: 0.50 marks per wrong/multiple answer

2. Practical Skill Test (50 Marks, 1 Hour)
   • Basic Computer Skills (MS Windows & MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
   • Qualifying Marks: 40% (minimum)

Final merit based on Written Test marks (after adding extra marks for Gram Rozgar Sevak experience, if applicable).
