Every student who sits the B.Ed entrance test in Odisha waits for a single number, and that number is the Odisha Bed Cut Off. It tells you the mark at which the last candidate of your category walked into a college in a given round. This page gathers the closing marks of six admission years in one place, round by round and category by category, so you never have to hunt through old notices again.
The tables below carry the Odisha Bed Cut Off for 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020, and the older 2019 lists sit just below them with their merit list PDF files. Nothing on this page has been rounded, smoothed or re-calculated. Every figure is copied straight from the list that was published for that round.
Odisha Bed Cut Off 2025 Marks – All Three Rounds
Three selection rounds were published for the 2025 session. The Odisha Bed Cut Off for the first round is the highest of the three, because the strongest applicants take their seats first and the bar drops a little as vacancies shrink. Read the government college pair of columns first, then swipe across for the self financed pair.
1st Round – Odisha Bed Cut Off 2025
| Category | Govt College (Arts) | Govt College (Science) | Self Finance (Arts) | Self Finance (Science) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UR | 60.75 | 52.25 | 59.50 | 51.25 |
| SEBC/OBC | 60.75 | 52.25 | 59.50 | 51.25 |
| SC | 56.00 | 45.25 | 55.00 | 44.25 |
| ST | 51.25 | 40.50 | 50.00 | 39.25 |

2nd Round – Odisha Bed Cut Off 2025
| Category | Govt College (Arts) | Govt College (Science) | Self Finance (Arts) | Self Finance (Science) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UR | 60.00 | 51.25 | 59 | 50.75 |
| SEBC/OBC | 60.00 | 51.25 | 59 | 50.75 |
| SC | 55.00 | 44.50 | 54.5 | 43.75 |
| ST | 50.75 | 40.00 | 49.5 | 38.50 |

3rd Round – Odisha Bed Cut Off 2025
| Category | Govt College (Arts) | Govt College (Science) | Self Finance (Arts) | Self Finance (Science) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UR | 59.75 | 51.50 | 59 | 50.25 |
| SEBC/OBC | 59.75 | 51 | 58.75 | 50.25 |
| SC | 54.75 | 44.25 | 54 | 43.50 |
| ST | Nil | 40 | 49.25 | 38.50 |
↔ On a phone, swipe this table sideways to see the Self Finance (Arts) and Self Finance (Science) columns.
Look at the Government Arts column across the three rounds and the slide is easy to follow: 60.75, then 60.00, then 59.75 for the UR row. The Government Science column behaves a little differently, moving 52.25, 51.25 and then back up to 51.50 in the third list, which is a reminder that the Odisha Bed Cut Off does not always fall in a straight line. The word Nil in the third round ST row simply means the published list carried no figure for that slot.

These four files are not Odisha B.Ed papers of any single round. Each one is a broad drill collection resting on the general knowledge, arithmetic, reasoning and Odia ground the B.Ed test also uses, and every one of them opens free.

Odisha Bed Cut Off 2024 Round Wise Closing Marks
Four lists came out for the 2024 session, so the Odisha Bed Cut Off for that year is spread over four tables. A dash in a cell means the published list did not print a figure for that category and college type. Do not read a dash as a zero.
1st Round – Odisha Bed Cut Off 2024
| Category | Govt College (Arts) | Govt College (Science) | Self Finance (Arts) | Self Finance (Science) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UR | 53.25 | 46 | 52.25 | 45.25 |

| UR | 52.25 | 45 | 51.25 | 44 |

4th Round – Odisha Bed Cut Off 2024
| Category | Govt College (Arts) | Govt College (Science) | Self Finance (Arts) | Self Finance (Science) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UR | 52.25 | 45 | 51 | 45 |
| SEBC/OBC | – | – | 51 | – |
| SC | – | – | 46.50 | – |
| ST | 42 | 31 | 40.75 | 31 |
↔ On a phone, swipe this table sideways to see the Self Finance (Arts) and Self Finance (Science) columns.
The 2024 numbers sit clearly below the 2025 numbers. The UR Government Arts seat closed at 53.25 in the first 2024 round against 60.75 in the first 2025 round, a gap of more than seven marks. That single comparison is the strongest argument for reading the Odisha Bed Cut Off of several years instead of only the most recent one.
One entry in the second 2024 table needs a warning. The SEBC/OBC figure in the Government Arts column reads 5.50, which is almost certainly a typing slip in the original notice. It has been left exactly as published rather than silently corrected, so please cross check that one cell against the official list before you rely on it.
Odisha Bed Cut Off 2023, 2022 and 2021 Closing Marks
For 2023 the government colleges and the self financed colleges were published as two separate lists, so the Odisha Bed Cut Off for that year appears in two three column tables. The 2022 list combined both college types into one table.
1st Round 2023 – Government Colleges
| Category | Arts | Science |
|---|---|---|
| UR | 53.50 | 42.75 |
| SEBC/OBC | 53.25 | 42.50 |
| SC | 48.50 | 34.25 |
| ST | 41.00 | 28.25 |
1st Round 2023 – Self Finance Colleges
| Category | Arts | Science |
|---|---|---|
| UR | 52.00 | 42.00 |
| SEBC/OBC | 52.00 | 42.00 |
| SC | 46.75 | 33.25 |
| ST | 39.75 | 27.25 |
The pattern between the two 2023 tables is steady. A government seat in Arts closed at 53.50 for UR while the self financed seat closed at 52.00, and the Science pair reads 42.75 against 42.00. So a government seat asked for a little more in every category row that year, with the gap running from 0.50 of a mark in the SEBC Science row to 1.75 in the SC Arts row.
1st Round 2022 – Government and Self Finance Colleges
| Category | Arts | Science |
|---|---|---|
| UR | 59.25 | 52.25 |
| SEBC/OBC | 58 | 50.75 |
| SC | 52.5 | 42 |
| ST | 44.5 | 34.5 |
2022 was a hard year. The UR Arts line closed at 59.25 and UR Science at 52.25, both far above the 2023 figures. Anyone who studies the Odisha Bed Cut Off across these two years quickly sees that one bad guess about “the usual mark” can cost a seat.
2021 ran to three rounds and used a simple Arts and Science split. The Odisha Bed Cut Off of this year was published to two decimal places rather than in the quarter mark steps used in later years.
1st Round – Odisha Bed Cut Off 2021
| Category | Arts | Science |
|---|---|---|
| UR | 45.81 | 43.41 |
| SEBC/OBC | 44.2 | 41.78 |
| SC | 38.1 | 32.09 |
| ST | 31.35 | 25.54 |
2nd Round – Odisha Bed Cut Off 2021
| Category | Arts | Science |
|---|---|---|
| UR | 43.67 | 41.21 |
| SEBC/OBC | 43.20 | 40.02 |
| SC | 37 | 31.00 |
| ST | 29.57 | 24.46 |
3rd Round – Odisha Bed Cut Off 2021
| Category | Arts | Science |
|---|---|---|
| UR | 43.12 | 40.02 |
| SEBC/OBC | 43 | 39.91 |
| SC | 36.49 | 30.26 |
| ST | 28.53 | 23.82 |
Follow the UR Arts row down the three 2021 tables and it reads 45.81, then 43.67, then 43.12. The ST row falls in the same direction, from 31.35 to 29.57 to 28.53. This is the clean, textbook shape of a sliding cut off, and it is the shape most students expect every year.
Odisha Bed Cut Off 2020 and 2019 Subject Group Marks
The 2020 and 2019 lists used a different shape. Instead of two broad streams they broke the seats into English, Odia, Other Arts, PCM and Other Science, so each Odisha Bed Cut Off table here has six columns. Swipe across on a phone or you will miss the last three groups.

The 2020 English column tells the story of the whole year: 43 in the first list, 38.75 in the second, 37.75 in the third and 36.75 in the fourth for UR candidates. The phrase No Seat in the fourth round SEBC/OBC row means no vacancy was left in that group at that stage.

In 2019 the PCM group carried much the highest numbers of the five subject groups, closing at 52.50 for UR in the first round while English closed at 39.00. Several cells simply say NO, which is how the original notice marked a group with nothing left to allot.

About the Odisha B.Ed Entrance Test and SAMS Admission
Odisha B.Ed is a two year teacher training course run under the state government. Admission is decided by a written entrance test followed by counselling, and the seat allotment for each round is published on the official SAMS Odisha admission portal. The Odisha Bed Cut Off you see on this page is the closing mark of each of those allotment rounds.
Two kinds of institutions take part. Government colleges normally close at a higher mark than self financed colleges. In most rows of the 2024 and 2025 tables the government figure sits above the self financed figure, sometimes by barely one mark, and in a few 2024 rows the two are exactly the same.
If you are still at the application stage, read the Odisha B.Ed apply online guide and the Odisha B.Ed syllabus published by SCERT before you plan your revision. The syllabus decides what you study; the Odisha Bed Cut Off decides how well you have to study it.
How Each Odisha Bed Cut Off Round Actually Works
Seats are filled in stages. In the first stage the top scorers of every category pick their college, and the mark of the last candidate admitted becomes the first round Odisha Bed Cut Off. Whoever does not report, or moves to a better college, leaves a seat behind, and those leftover seats create the second round.
Because the second and later rounds only offer seats that nobody took, they normally close a little lower. That is why the 2021 UR Arts line moves from 45.81 down to 43.67 and then to 43.12. It is also why counting on the last round is risky: for 2023 and 2022 only a single list appears on this page, so there was no later, lower round to fall back on.
The number of rounds also changes from year to year. This page shows three rounds for 2025 and 2021, four rounds for 2024, 2020 and 2019, and a single published list for 2023 and 2022. Treat the first round Odisha Bed Cut Off as your real target and treat anything below it as a bonus.
How to Score Above the Odisha Bed Cut Off
Knowing the number is only half the job. Here is a plain plan for landing above the Odisha Bed Cut Off of your own category and stream.
- Pick your target row first. Find your category and your stream in the newest table, add three marks to the first round figure, and make that your practice score.
- Solve real papers, not guesswork sets. The Odisha B.Ed previous year question and answer collection shows you the actual question style far better than any prediction.
- Time every attempt. A paper solved without a clock teaches you nothing about the pressure of the real hall.
- Keep a mistake diary. Write one line for every wrong answer and read the diary, not the whole book, in the last week.
- Fix the weakest subject early. If Science is your gap, work through the B.Ed science entrance notes before you touch general knowledge again.
- Test yourself on a screen. Regular attempts on the Odisha B.Ed mock test series tell you where you stand against other candidates.
- Revise Odia and English grammar daily. The Odia group closed below English in every 2020 UR row, so steady work on the language papers pays back fast.
Benefits of Studying the Odisha Bed Cut Off Trend
Reading six years of closing marks together is more useful than checking one year alone. These are the practical gains of studying the Odisha Bed Cut Off trend before the exam rather than after it.
- You stop guessing your target. A concrete number beats a vague feeling that you need “a good score”.
- You choose your college honestly. If your score sits between the government and self financed figures, you already know which option is realistic.
- You see the swing between years. UR Arts closed at 59.25 in 2022 and 53.50 in 2023, so a safety margin is not paranoia.
- You plan for later rounds. Knowing that a third round exists in some years, and does not exist in others, changes how you fill your choices.
- You compare courses. Candidates who also apply for D.El.Ed can weigh this page against the CT entrance cut off marks and pick the stronger chance.
- You revise with purpose. A target mark turns a vague syllabus into a daily question count.

Odisha Bed Cut Off – Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Odisha Bed Cut Off for the 2025 session?
In the first 2025 round a government college closed at 60.75 for UR Arts and 52.25 for UR Science, while a self financed college closed at 59.50 and 51.25. The second and third round figures are printed in the same section, so you can compare all three lists side by side.
Did the cut off rise in 2025 compared with 2024?
Yes, and by a wide margin in the rows shown here. The UR Arts government seat closed at 53.25 in the first 2024 round and at 60.75 in the first 2025 round. That is why a single year of data is a poor guide to your target mark.
Why does the Odisha Bed Cut Off fall in later rounds?
Later rounds only offer seats that earlier candidates did not take. With fewer applicants competing for those leftover seats, the closing mark usually drops. The 2021 UR Arts line falling from 45.81 to 43.67 and then to 43.12 is a clear example.
Which category shows the lowest closing marks?
In almost every table on this page the ST row carries the lowest figures. In the first 2025 round, for instance, ST closed at 51.25 in government Arts against 56.00 for SC and 60.75 for UR.
Is the cut off different for government and self financed colleges?
Usually yes. Government colleges normally close a little above self financed colleges, often by one to one and a half marks. In a few 2024 rows the two are identical, so the gap is not fixed and should not be assumed.
What do Nil, NO and No Seat mean inside these tables?
They are the words used in the original notices. They indicate that no figure was published or no vacancy remained for that category and subject group in that round. They are not zero marks and should not be read as such.
How many rounds does Odisha B.Ed admission normally have?
It varies. This page shows three published rounds for 2025 and 2021, four rounds for 2024, 2020 and 2019, and only one published list for 2023 and 2022. Plan for the first round and treat any later round as extra breathing space.
Where can I download the old merit list and cut off PDF files?
All of them sit in the PDF and merit list section above, with separate columns for the cut off file, the merit list file and the question paper. Nothing there needs a login or a payment.
Do the 2020 and 2019 tables use different subject groups?
Yes. Those two years split the seats into English, Odia, Other Arts, PCM and Other Science instead of a simple Arts and Science pair, so each of their tables has six columns. Swipe sideways on a phone to reach the last three groups.
Is the Odisha Bed Cut Off data on this page free to use?
Completely free. Every table, every PDF link and every merit list on this page can be opened without registering. The combo question banks shown in the banner are an optional extra for students who want a much larger practice set.
Conclusion
Six admission years in one page is a lot of numbers, but the message behind them is short. The Odisha Bed Cut Off moves every year, it moves differently for each category, and it moves again between government and self financed colleges. Reading only the newest list gives you half the picture.
Set your practice target from the highest first round figure in your own row, then keep pushing a few marks past it. Pair this page with the Odisha B.Ed previous year question papers and a steady run of mock tests, and the Odisha Bed Cut Off stops being a scary unknown and turns into a simple score you are working towards.
This page is updated whenever a fresh allotment list is released. Save it, share it with your batch, and check back before every counselling round so your Odisha Bed Cut Off information is never out of date.
