Previous Year Paper

CT Previous Year Question 2025, 2024, 2023, 2020, 2019, 2018 Free PDF Download

Anyone chasing a D.El.Ed seat in Odisha begins the same way, by collecting the CT Previous Year Question papers and solving them shift by shift. SCERT Odisha sets this entrance for the two-year Certified Teacher course, and the way it frames questions has stayed steady for a long stretch of years. That is exactly why old papers work so well as a study tool here.

A syllabus tells you which topics exist. A real paper tells you how those topics are actually asked, how long each one takes and where the trap options hide. On this page every CT Previous Year Question paper we hold is arranged year by year and shift by shift, from the August 2025 sittings back to 2014, plus the key exam details, seat and quota figures, an old cut-off snapshot and ten plain-language answers to the doubts students send us most often.

Every CT Previous Year Question file on Google Drive opens in a preview window; use the download arrow in the corner of that window to store it offline. Once you have finished the CT set, the same practice habit works on the Odisha B.Ed previous year question papers and the OTET previous year questions, because both draw from a similar school-level base.

About the Odisha CT Entrance and the D.El.Ed Course

CT is short for Certified Teacher, and the course itself is the two-year D.El.Ed, the Diploma in Elementary Education. SCERT Odisha, which sits under the state education department, runs both the entrance and the course. Students who finish it are appointed as teachers in Upper Primary schools across Odisha.

Only candidates who have passed +2 or Class 12 may sit for the entrance, and every stream is allowed. Because the intake is school-level, the paper draws from Class 10 and +2 material rather than from degree syllabi. That single fact is what makes an old CT Previous Year Question paper such an accurate mirror of the current exam.

Admission and counselling for the diploma run through the SAMS portal of the state government. Notices, corrections and the admission calendar appear on the official SAMS Odisha website, so please confirm every date there first, including anything you read on this page. For the topic list itself, our CT exam syllabus page stays updated cycle by cycle.

What Every CT Previous Year Question Paper Shows

Read the CT Previous Year Question tables above as data, not just as links. They tell you how SCERT has actually run this exam. The shift structure changes from cycle to cycle, and knowing that pattern helps you judge how many papers you realistically need to solve.

  • 2025: the papers here come from 23 to 26 August 2025, with up to four shifts listed on a single day.
  • 2024: four dates, 12 to 15 September, with three shifts on each date.
  • 2023: 30 May to 2 June, three shifts a day, and one first-shift paper set in Olchiki for the Santali quota.
  • 2020: a seven-day window from 7 to 13 November, again three shifts each day.
  • 2019 and 2018: four batches a day, spread across 6 to 12 June 2019 and 9 to 14 August 2018.

Two things follow from that list. First, a different question set is used in every shift, so a single paper is never a full picture of a year. Second, the entrance is a computer-based test taken at a centre in your own district, so screen practice matters as much as paper practice. Pair each CT Previous Year Question paper with a timed run on our CT mock test series to get used to reading options on a monitor.

Syllabus Areas Behind Each CT Previous Year Question

Since every question is pitched at Class 10 and +2 level, the subject spread stays predictable. Open any CT Previous Year Question paper and mark each question against the areas below; after three or four papers you will see clearly which areas repeat and which barely appear.

Area to Cover
General Knowledge and current affairs, with a strong Odisha focus
Odia language and Odia grammar (Byakarana)
English grammar, vocabulary and short comprehension
Mathematics of Class 10 standard – arithmetic, algebra and mensuration
Reasoning and mental ability
General Science and everyday science from school textbooks
Teaching aptitude and basic child psychology

Odisha general knowledge and Odia grammar are the highest-return areas for most candidates, simply because the same ground keeps coming back. If you need consolidated theory rather than practice sets, the CT exam notes for all subjects and the CT and B.Ed exam notes collection cover these areas subject by subject.

CT Cut Off 2020 – 4th State Quota Snapshot

This small table is kept only as a historical reference point from the 2020 admission round, 4th state quota, and it sits here beside the CT Previous Year Question papers of the same year. It is not a prediction for any later year, and marks move whenever the paper gets easier or harder.

Category Arts Science
General 31.25 36.70
SEBC/OBC 31.25 36.75
ST 20.25 15.50
SC 26.75 27.50

Year-wise figures for the other rounds are collected separately on the CT cut off mark page, which is updated after each admission cycle closes.

CT Previous Year Subject Wise Question & Answer PDF

Some students prefer to attack one subject at a time instead of solving a whole paper. For them the questions of 2020, 2019 and 2018 have been regrouped subject by subject, giving more than 7,830 questions in total across the CT entrance and both B.Ed streams. A free demo file lets you check the layout before you decide.

Subject-wise sets are best used after you have already solved two or three full papers. They fix weak areas; the complete CT Previous Year Question papers build the timing.

How to Solve CT Previous Year Question Papers Properly

Downloading is the easy half. What separates a selected candidate from a near-miss is the routine that follows the download. This one works for most CT aspirants and needs nothing beyond a timer and a notebook.

  • Finish a complete paper without a break. Keep the phone away and resist checking anything mid-way, because sitting through the discomfort is the whole exercise.
  • Attempt it on a screen when you can. The real entrance is a computer-based test, and reading options on a monitor feels different from reading them on paper.
  • Score honestly and write the total down. A number you can compare next week is worth more than a vague feeling that it went well.
  • Split your errors into three groups – topic never studied, topic studied but misapplied, and plain carelessness. Each group needs a different repair.
  • Come back to your incorrect answers on the third day. Re-solving the ones you already got right is comfortable revision that adds nothing to your score.
  • Compare two shifts of the same date. Doing that with any CT Previous Year Question pair shows how SCERT keeps topic weightage steady while moving difficulty around.

Four papers reviewed carefully beat twelve papers skimmed. Keep one page in your notebook for repeat mistakes, and read only that page on the morning of the exam.

Benefits of Practising the CT Previous Year Question Set

Old papers are sometimes treated as optional extra work. In a district-level competition for a fixed number of D.El.Ed seats, they are closer to basic equipment. Steady work on the full CT Previous Year Question collection pays back in ways you can actually measure.

  • You see the true difficulty level. Guidebook questions are often pitched harder or easier than what SCERT actually sets.
  • You spot the repeaters. Odisha GK, Odia grammar and basic school science return in shift after shift.
  • You build sitting stamina. Staying sharp for a full paper is a physical habit, and only full-length practice trains it.
  • You learn what to skip. Every CT Previous Year Question paper quietly shows which corners of the syllabus are never touched.
  • You settle your attempt strategy. Once you know your own accuracy rate, deciding how many uncertain questions to attempt stops being a guess.

After enough repetitions the real paper simply stops feeling unfamiliar, and that calm is worth several marks on its own.

CT Previous Year Question – FAQs

Where can I download the CT Previous Year Question PDF for free?

Each PDF sits in the year-wise tables placed just under the contents box on this page. The 2025, 2024, 2023, 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2014 to 2017 papers are all free to open, with no sign-up and no payment of any kind.

Which years of CT Previous Year Question papers are available here?

Papers are available for 2025, 2024, 2023, 2020, 2019 and 2018, plus one paper each for 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014. The recent years are split shift by shift, while the older ones are single files.

Are these papers official or memory based?

They are memory-based versions put together by students who wrote that particular shift. The topics, the level and the way options are framed match the real exam closely, which is all that a CT Previous Year Question paper needs to do for your preparation.

Who conducts the CT entrance exam in Odisha?

SCERT Odisha, the State Council of Educational Research and Training, conducts the entrance for the two-year D.El.Ed course. Admission itself is handled through the state SAMS portal.

Who is eligible to apply for the CT entrance?

Candidates who have passed +2 or Class 12 in Arts, Science or Commerce, or hold a diploma, can apply. The advertisement asks for 50 per cent marks for UR candidates and 45 per cent for SEBC, OBC, SC, ST and PH candidates.

How many shifts are there in one day of the exam?

It varies by cycle. The 2024, 2023 and 2020 tables above show three shifts a day, while 2019 and 2018 ran four batches a day. Each shift uses a different question set.

Is the CT exam written or computer based?

It is a computer-based test taken at a centre in your own district. Because of that, practising at least a few papers on a screen is a good idea rather than only on printouts.

Do the CT Previous Year Question files include answers?

The combo question banks listed in the bonus table carry answers and explanations. The dated shift papers are question sets, so use the notes pages and the mock tests to check your answers.

What is the Olchiki paper listed under 30 May 2023?

That is the first-shift paper set in the Olchiki script for the Santali quota. Fifty seats are reserved for candidates who can read and write Olchiki, and they sit a separate paper.

How many CT papers are enough before the entrance?

Go through the whole list once, then repeat the shifts where your score was weakest. Reviewing four CT Previous Year Question papers deeply gives you more than rushing through a dozen without any analysis.

Can I use these papers for the B.Ed or OTET exam too?

Partly. The general knowledge, Odia, English and reasoning sections overlap a good deal, so the B.Ed and OTET question sets linked on this page make sensible follow-up practice after the CT papers.

Conclusion

You now have everything this exam asks for in one place: the free CT Previous Year Question papers from 2014 to 2025, the course and quota details, an old cut-off snapshot, subject-wise sets and a practice routine that actually works. Nothing on this page is locked behind a form.

Pick the most recent year, solve one shift under a timer today, and write down what went wrong. Repeat that a few times a week and the entrance will feel like one more CT Previous Year Question practice run rather than a test. Bookmark the page, because every new paper released after the next SCERT sitting will be added to the tables above.
