Qualification-

There are tow categories of teacher

Category Name
Category-1 Trained Graduate Teachers in Science/  Arts, Hindi/ Classical Teacher (Sanskrit/ Urdu/ Telugu).
Category-2 Physical Education Teacher
Stream  Qualification
TGT Arts # Bachelor’s Degree in Education with Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/ Commerce  with  have  two school subjects as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional (Check below for list of school subjects ) OSSTET Exam Eligibility CriteriaOR

# Four year integrated B.A.B.Ed from NCTE recognised Institution with two school subjects as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional 

# UR  candidates should have 50% marks in aggregate & 45% for SC/ ST / PH / SEBC candidates

TGT Science # Bachelor’s Degree in Education with Bachelor’s Degree in Science with  have  two school subjects as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional (Check below for list of school subjects ) OSSTET Exam Eligibility CriteriaOR

# Four year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed from a NCTE Recognised Institution with two school subjects as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional 

# UR candidates should have 50% marks in aggregate & 45% for SC/ ST / PH / SEBC candidates

Hindi Teacher # Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University with Hindi as one of the Honours/ Elective/ Optional/ Pass subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC )AND

# Any one of the following training qualifications.

# Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan,

# H.Ed. a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University/ Institution.

# B.Ed in Hindi, a course prescribed by NCTE , from Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.

OR

# Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates)

WITH

# One of the following qualifications :

# Rastrabhasa Ratna from Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha,

# Shastri (Hindi) from Orissa Rastrabhasa Parishad,

# Snataka (Acquired by June -2005, the date up to which the temporary recognition has been granted) from Hindi Shiksha Samiti, Odisha,

AND

# One of the following Training qualifications;

# Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan,

# H.Ed. a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University/ Institution.

Sanskrit Teacher # Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the Honours/ Elective / Optional/ Pass subject from a recognised universityAND

# Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit), a course prescribed by NCTE, from a Recognised University/ Institution.

OR

# Shastri (Sanskrit)  from a recognized university

AND

# Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit), a course prescribed by NCTE, from a Recognised University/ Institution. OSSTET Exam Eligibility Criteria

# UR candidates should have 50% marks in aggregate & 45% for SC/ ST / PH / SEBC candidates

Urdu Teacher # Alim with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for PH candidates).# AND

# B.Ed./ Urdu B.Ed. from a NCTE Recognised University/ Institution. OR

# A. (Persian) WITH 50% marks in aggregate (45% PH Candidates) AND

# B.Ed./ Urdu B.Ed. from a NCTE Recognised University/ Institution.

Telugu Teacher # Bachelor’s Degree in Arts having Telgu as subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC) candidates) AND# Telugu B. Ed. from a University / Institution recognized by NCTE.
PET # +2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC) candidates).AND

# 2 C.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed./ M.P.Ed. From a recognized Board/ University.

OSSTET School Subject List

Stream School Subjects
TGT Arts One of the subject shall be from : English, Odia, Hindi & Sanskrit
Another subject shall be from : History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography & Indian Polity
TGT PCM Any two subjects from : Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
TGT CBZ Any two subjects from : Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Biology
